It was an amazing festival. There were some countries presented their culture at there. Some of the representatives of each countries came from what country they presented. There were six foreign countries exactly which were present the culture to us on last Friday. However, there were three countries which were presented by the native, and the others were people from Indonesia who know well about the country, the language, and even the language.

The first presentation was from China. The representative was a Chinese people from Indonesia, and she know well about China. She shared her knowledge about China very well. She shared about the ethnic group of China. Actually, I just knew that there were so many of ethnic group in China. And she also showed us about calligraphy and other handicrafts from China.

And the second presentation was from France. The representative was not a native people from France, she was from Indonesia, I forgot where she come from exactly. She did not tell many of the culture there. She told us about the levels of learning France and some language of France.

Then, the third presentation was from Belarus. The representative was neither a native. She told us about some histories of Belarus which is used to a state of Uni Soviet. Actually, I have not known about Belarus before. It was my first time hearing the name of Belarus. However, I was surprised when she was playing the trailer of the country. The view of the country in the trailer was amazing.

After that, there was a short presentation about Indonesia. The representative presented “Pecel”. She shared about several facts of “Pecel” which is actually from Madiun, but it is easy to find it in many places in East Java. However, “Pecel” has different ingredients in some places.

After we had danced Salsa, we had a break. We were allowed to look around each country’s booth where there were some souvenir to bring it to home and some food and drink to have a lunch. While we were having lunch, there was a performance from the students  from fourth semester. They sang some traditional songs from some places in Indonesia.

  1. I agree with you that the event is exciting. Maybe you forgot to delete "and even the language" there. You have said it twice. Hahahah but it is okay to have a little mistake there. You do a great job zack. Can not wait to your next post.

  2. What a detail recall. Actually, you wrote it on your notes, right?
I've seen it yo ~ Hahaha.

However Zack, you need to pay attention in these following details, too:
    1. You wrote: Some of the representatives of each countries came from what country they presented.
    - I know what you are trying to say by those words. In my opinion, you should choose one of them whether you want to use "some" or "each" because the readers might get confused whenever they read that part.

    2. What Stella has stated above is right. It seems that you wrote some repetitive words (adjectives, too) such as exactly, well, etc. In writing, readers may get bored if they read the same words for the second time. Therefore, you should try to use another "similar" adjectives which have the closest meaning to your previous adjectives so that readers will not get bored.

    3. We are ought to write our impression, zack. However, it looks like you get excited and went into Procedure Text or such a Report Text by giving the details. I do not say that it was wrong. It is good but in writing, you have to entertain your reader. You should think how to inform and satisfy your reader by giving detail explanation in an interesting way.

  3. As clear as a crystal. That is how you've explained your cultural experience to me or us as readers. You explained every inch, every nook and every angle of the event. I also think that I'm too hyperbole. I like the details of the story. I'm 100% sure that isn't everyone could detail a story from the begging to the closing of an event as you could. Mistakes in your writing have been spotted by Jonatan and Stella. But I would like to revisit the second paragraph about "a Chinese people" that you've written. If you put Chinese in a sentece people would have already knew if Chinese are people who lives in China or they who have Chinese descent. I suggest next time if you wrote nationalities you'd better don't put "people"after them. It is only Spanish not Spanish people.

    1. Because if you put nationalities and followed by the word people behind, it is way to much or exaggerating.
